ABSU Alumni Association, UNIZIK Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit to Vice-Chancellor
The Abia State University (ABSU) Alumni Association, UNIZIK Chapter, paid a courtesy and solidarity visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, an esteemed alumnus of Abia State University.
The delegation was led by the Chairperson of the chapter, Dr. Esther Anyanwu, alongside the Secretary, Obioma Henry C., and other members of the association.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Anyanwu explained that the delegation came to formally congratulate the Vice-Chancellor on his well-deserved appointment and to express the association’s solidarity with him as a distinguished alumnus of ABSU. She also used the opportunity to introduce the ABSU Alumni
UNIZIK Chapter and its activities to the Vice-Chancellor.
Dr. Anyanwu commended the Vice-Chancellor for the remarkable achievements recorded within the short period of his administration at the university, noting that the progress made so far reflects his outstanding leadership qualities and commitment to excellence.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation to the group for the visit and for identifying with him. He stated that he was delighted to learn more about the association and warmly welcomed their gesture of solidarity.
Prof. Anyaehie also shared nostalgic memories of his time as a student at ABSU, recalling how he often navigated the rigorous terrain of the university roads after long nights of study. He assured the delegation of his willingness to identify with and support the ABSU Alumni community.
The Secretary of the association, Obioma Henry C., thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception accorded to the delegation. The visit concluded with a group photograph with the Vice-Chancellor.
