ABSU Vice-Chancellor Honours Students Following Victory at 2026 All Nigerian Youth Debate Championship
The Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University, Professor Ndukwe J. Okeudo, on behalf of Management and Senate has commeded the outstanding students of the University that emerged winners at the prestigious All Nigerian Youth Debate Championship held at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction at their excellent performance and commended them for making the University proud.
He described the achievement as a testament to the quality of education available in the University and directed that the students be given letters of commendation in recognition of their achievement, while encouraging others to emulate them.
Presenting the students to the Vice-Chancellor and management, the Dean, Students Affairs, Professor Dick Uduma, explained the process leading to the remarkable achievement by the students, noting that they distinguished themselves among participants from various higher institutions across the country to clinch the top position in the highly competitive debate championship which held at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.

Earlier during the 286th regular meeting, the University Senate had in an unanimous response applauded the students for their achievement, noting that such accomplishment contribute significantly to enhancing the University’s reputation and visibility across the country.
The success of the students at the All Nigeria Youth Debate Championship underscores ABSU’s growing prominence in academic and intellectual engagements, as well as its commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped for leadership and national development.
