Adeyemi Federal University of Education Honored with Award by Ondo West Local Government

Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) in Ondo has been conferred an award by the Ondo West Local Government in recognition of its outstanding contributions to educational development in Ondo City and beyond. The award was presented during a ceremony held at the Robert Ware Event Centre in Ondo State on October 30, 2025.

The Chairman of Ondo West Local Government, Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin, emphasized the importance of partnership between the local government and the university to advance educational development in the area. He praised the leadership of AFUED for maintaining a legacy of excellence and expressed his administration's commitment to supporting the institution's growth and development.

The event also featured the launch of a book titled "Ondo West Local Government, People, Places and Prospects for Development," which highlights the achievements and potential of the local government area. The ceremony was attended by prominent personalities from traditional institutions, political organizations, educational institutions, and corporate bodies, including representatives from AFUED, such as Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bayode Isaiah Popoola and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ireti Folasade Alao.
