The Faculty of Management Sciences at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has donated ₦500,000 to the institution, reinforcing its role in driving internal support for growth and sustainability.

The donation was presented during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Kate Azuka Omenugha, shortly after the faculty concluded its conference on April 16, 2026. The delegation, led by Dean Prof. Nwangene, used the meeting to outline key outcomes from the conference, including strategic priorities and academic milestones aimed at strengthening the faculty’s contribution to the university’s long-term agenda.
Presenting the cheque, the Dean positioned the contribution as a deliberate investment in the university’s development framework, aligning with the administration’s policy thrust built on Values, Viability, and Visibility. The move signals a growing trend of internal stakeholder participation in institutional funding, particularly within Nigeria’s resource-constrained higher education landscape.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor commended the faculty for maintaining high performance standards and for backing its academic leadership with tangible support. The Faculty of Management Sciences had earlier been named Best Faculty of the Year in the previous academic session, further consolidating its standing within the university.

Senior officials at the meeting included University Bursar Dr. Nath Udezo, Prof. Nkechi Offor, and other faculty officers, underscoring the institutional significance of the engagement.
