Egbe Omo Oduduwa Inc. Awards Scholarship to 27 UI Students
The Egbe Omo Oduduwa Inc. of South Florida (EOOI) has awarded scholarships to 27 final-year students of the University of Ibadan under the Deacon Oluwole Ale Memorial Scholarship Programme. This marks the third consecutive year that EOOI has presented the award to students of the University.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. K.O. Adebowale, commended Egbe Omo Oduduwa Inc. for their consistency in awarding the scholarship annually since its inception. He noted that the organization's commitment to supporting students is a testament to the importance of partnerships between alumni, friends, and donors in promoting academic excellence.
The scholarship is targeted at indigent Yoruba students from eight states who have demonstrated both academic excellence and leadership in community service. The awardees will benefit from financial support to complete their studies.
The University of Ibadan's Registrar, Mr. G.O. Saliu, expressed optimism that the gesture will have a ripple effect, positively affecting not only the current generation of students but also future generations.
