FCE Okene Announces Vacancy for College Librarian, Invites Qualified Applicants

The Federal College of Education (FCE), Okene, Kogi State, has announced a vacancy for the position of College Librarian and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree along with a Master’s in Library Science (MLS) or a PhD in Library and Information Science. Applicants with an MLS must have at least 15 years of relevant experience, while those with a PhD should have at least 12 years, with registration with a Professional Library body required for both paths.

Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), along with evidence of sound human relations, professional competence, and effective management skills. Prior experience as a Chief Librarian or Deputy College Librarian in a College of Education for no less than five years is essential. Additionally, applicants must be under the age of 59 at the time of appointment.
