The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie on behalf of the management, has reaffirmed her administration's commitment to rewarding excellence by recognizing members of staff who have distinguished themselves through exceptional dedication and outstanding service delivery.

The recognition took place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, during the Rector's meeting with Directors, Coordinators, and Desk Officers, where the awardees were commended for their remarkable commitment to duty and the effective discharge of their responsibilities.

The honoured staff include Director, Medical Services, Dr. Ifeanyi Fidelis Okafor; Director of Students' Affairs, Comrade Chibuzo Asomugha; Director, ICT/ICT Academy, Dr. Amobi P. Chiamogu; Director, Skills Acquisition and Development Centre, Engr. Ogonna Samuel Nwokoye; Director, TETFund, Dr. Helen Nnabuenyi; Director, Works and Services, Dr. Michael Azubuike Nwankwo; Director, Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), Dr. Patrick Ezigwe; Director, Guidance, Counselling and Career Services, Mr. Chioma Nwankwo; and Chief Hostel Warden, Mrs. Blessing Ezeanya.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Awuzie applauded the award recipients for their diligence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the institution. She urged other members of staff to remain dedicated to their duties, emphasizing that excellence, hard work, and integrity would always receive due recognition under her administration.

Responding on behalf of the recipients, the Dean of Students' Affairs, Comrade Chibuzo Asomugha, expressed profound appreciation to the Rector for her thoughtful leadership and for recognizing staff who quietly but diligently contribute to the institution's progress despite her demanding responsibilities as Chief Executive.
