The award was presented during the National Information Technology Merit Awards held on November 20, 2025, at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The Fellowship recognises individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced the computing profession in Nigeria. Professor Boyinbode, a distinguished scholar in intelligent systems, educational technology, and software engineering, has played a pivotal role in shaping technology-driven innovation within Africa’s higher education ecosystem. Her work has strengthened capacity development, enhanced digital learning environments, and expanded the integration of technology for socio-economic progress.

Through decades of research, mentorship, and professional service, she has consistently championed the application of digital tools to improve teaching, learning, and national development. The FNCS award underscores her impact, influence, and continued commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s technology landscape.
