FUGASHUA VC Engages Security Personnel to Strengthen Campus Safety

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Gashua, Professor Yaqub Ahmed Geidam, today held an interactive session with the University's security personnel as part of efforts to evaluate their performance and explore possible restructuring measures aimed at strengthening campus security operations.

‎The meeting, held at the 284-Capacity Lecture Hall, brought together principal officers and members of the University's Security Committee. Those in attendance included the Registrar, Dr Abubakar Mamuda; the University Librarian and Chairman of the Security Committee, Dr Adam Saleh Gambo; the Bursar, Malam Muhammad Ahmed Ali; the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Emmanuel Amase; the Acting Chief Security Officer, DCP Garba Shuaibu (Rtd); and other members of the Security Committee.

‎In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the critical role of security personnel in maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment. He noted that the engagement was designed to assess existing security arrangements, identify operational challenges, and develop strategies to enhance service delivery and overall security effectiveness across the University.
