FULafia and NITDA Strengthen Collaboration to Drive AI, Robotics, and Digital Innovation

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) and National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), have strengthened their collaboration for research, innovation and technological development.

The renewed partnership was stated during a meeting that involved officials of both institutions that took place at NITDA, Abuja, recently.

The delegation from FULafia was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri Hassan.

The FULafia team was received by Ahmed Yahuza, the Deputy Director, e-governance and digital Economy, who represented the Director-General of NITDA.

Speaking during the engagement, Prof. Kida said the initiative would foster research excellence and sustainable national development.

He said that the collaboration would strengthen industry-academia relations and promote utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics.

The visit also featured a tour of the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, where the FULafia delegation was exposed to ongoing technological innovations and digital transformation initiatives championed by the NITDA.
