FULafia VC Pledges Inclusive Leadership and Religious Equity

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, said he would be fair in his dealings with members of the University’s and work assiduously to engender peace and development.

He, especially, said that he would ensure equal treatment for all religious groups on campus.

Kida spoke when members of the FULafia Christian Community visited to congratulate him on his appointment as the institution’s fourth vice-chancellor.

It would be recalled that Kida became the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia in February this year.

He described his emergence as the vice-chancellor as a collective achievement of the members of the University’s community, saying that the University was ready to accommodate all its stakeholders regardless of their faith.

He said: “My vice-chancellorship is for all religions and I promise to provide equal opportunities for both Muslims and Christians to pursue their goals and realise their ambitions in the University."

The Christian delegation was led by the Provost of the FULafia College of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Victor S. Dugga, who assured the vice-chancellor of the community’s support and prayers. 

He expressed confidence of Christians in Kida's ability and leadership to unite and develop FULafia.
