FULafia Vice-Chancellor Orders Resettlement of Students in Security-Threatened Areas
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, has called for the resettlement of students living in areas prone to security threats.
Professor Kida made the call during a meeting with student leaders and the Director of Environmental Safety of the university to review the security situation around the University community and discuss measures to safeguard students.
He urged the student leaders to sensitise their colleagues on the need to avoid vulnerable areas and promptly report suspicious movements and activities to the appropriate authorities.
The Vice-Chancellor also called on students to report anyone found aiding or abetting criminal activities or maintaining links with suspected criminals within the University community.

Professor Kida stressed the importance of collective vigilance and stronger collaboration among the University Management, student leaders and relevant security agencies to prevent criminal activities.
He said concerted efforts were needed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and other members of the University community.
The Vice-Chancellor further urged the student leaders to intensify security awareness among students and encourage them to take necessary precautions.
