FUNAAB Kicks Off 2026 Vice-Chancellor’s Cup: Prof. Kehinde Charges Athletes to Uphold Fair Play

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) officially flagged off its 2026 Intercollegiate Sports and Vice-Chancellor’s Cup Competition on April 1, 2026, with a strong call for sportsmanship and physical discipline.

Declaring the tournament open, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, emphasized the synergy between academic rigour and physical well-being. "A healthy mind resides in a healthy body," he noted, urging students to view sports as a vital tool for fostering teamwork and enhancing interpersonal relationships.

The ceremony was attended by top management, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olusegun Idowu, and the Dean of COLBIOS, Prof. Iyabode Kehinde, underscoring the institution's commitment to holistic student development and #SDG3 (Good Health and Well-being).
