FUNAAB Mourns the Loss of Renowned Aquaculture Expert, Prof. Francisca Olubukola George

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) community is in mourning following the passing of Prof. Francisca Olubukola George, a distinguished expert in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management.

Prof. George, who was from the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), passed away on July 8, 2025.

Prof. George was a highly respected academic, renowned for her outstanding contributions to the field of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management. She served the University in various capacities, including as the former Director of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), where she mentored countless students and staff with dedication and compassion.
