Master’s students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) and the African Regional Institute for Geospatial Information Science and Technology (AFRIGIST) have commenced a one-month immersion programme at the Centre for Space Research and Application (CESRA).
The 2025/2026 students arrived at CESRA for the study tour, which began on October 5, 2026, and will provide an opportunity for them to deepen their academic and research experience during their stay.
The programme will enable the students to interact with their supervisors, acquire knowledge of new tools and applications, and present their ongoing research work.

Activities during the one-month period will also include the registration of their theses and other academic and research-related engagements.
The Director of CESRA, Professor Joseph Ojo, and members of staff welcomed the students to FUTA and wished them a productive and pleasant stay.
