Adeyemi Varsity Announces Resumption Date for Newly Admitted Students

Newly admitted students of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) are expected to resume on November 23, 2026, as the university prepares to commence screening for fresh students.

The screening exercise will begin immediately after resumption and end on December 4, 2026.

According to the university’s approved academic calendar, the orientation programme for newly admitted students will commence on December 7. The programme is designed to familiarise fresh students with the university’s academic environment, policies, rules and regulations, as well as its administrative structures. It will also provide them with the necessary information and guidance to help them settle into university life.

Academic activities for all students will resume on January 4, 2027, with lectures and registration scheduled to begin for undergraduate students.

The registration deadline is January 24, while late registration, with a penalty, will commence on January 25. A further late-registration period, attracting an additional penalty, will run from February 8 to February 21, 2027.

Lectures for undergraduate students will end on March 19, 2027, followed by revision exercises from March 22 to March 26. First-semester examinations will commence on March 29 and end on April 23, 2027, marking the conclusion of the first semester for regular undergraduate students.

The second semester is scheduled to begin on May 9, 2027, with students expected to return to their residences ahead of the commencement of lectures and registration on May 10.

Registration will close on May 28, while late registration, with a penalty, will run from May 30 to June 11.

Second-semester lectures will end on July 16, 2027, followed by revision exercises from July 19 to July 23. Examinations will commence on July 26 and conclude on August 20, 2027, marking the end of the 2026/2027 academic session for regular students.

The academic calendar also provides a separate schedule for students enrolled in the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) programme.

For the PDE programme, first-semester activities are scheduled to commence in January 2027, with lectures beginning on January 15. Examinations will take place from April 19 to April 24.

Teaching practice for PDE students will commence on May 3 and end on July 23, 2027.

For the second semester of the PDE programme, lectures are scheduled to begin on August 20, 2027, while examinations are expected to hold from November 22 to November 27, 2027.

The approved academic calendar also provides for meetings of the Senate, Committee of Deans, faculty boards of studies and other university committees throughout the academic session.

Students are advised to take note of the scheduled dates for registration, lectures, revision exercises and examinations to ensure compliance with the university’s academic requirements.

The calendar is intended to guide the coordination of academic activities and institutional planning throughout the 2026/2027 academic session.
