Gombe State University Hosts Inaugural International Accounting Conference

Gombe State University's Department of Accounting has held its first International Conference, focusing on contemporary issues in accounting, business, economics, governance, environmental accounting, and artificial intelligence.

The conference, opened by Vice-Chancellor Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, brought together academics, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss innovative approaches and challenges in the field. Lead papers were presented by eminent scholars from various Nigerian universities.

Head of Department Dr. Hauwa Saidu described the event as a milestone, providing a platform for intellectual engagement. The Accountant-General of Gombe State acknowledged the conference theme's relevance to emerging governance and financial management issues.

The conference features technical sessions and panel discussions aimed at generating insights for academia and industry.
