Kafin Hausa Local Government Delegation Visits SLUK to Commiserate Over Loss of Pioneer Director

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, fcasson, mnae had on Monday 2nd March, 2026 hosted the Chairman of Kafin Hausa Local Government Area, Honourable Abdullahi Sa’idu Nalayi and members of his Council who were at the Senate Building to commiserate with the University Community over the demise of the Pioneer Director, Counselling and Human Development Centre, Late Professor Umma AbdulWahid. 

The Chairman prayed for the eternal rest of the deceased in Jannatul Firdaus and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.

During the visit, Honourable Nalayi described the late Professor AbdulWahid as a dedicated academic whose contributions were pivotal to the foundational growth of the University's student support services. He offered prayers for the repose of her soul in Jannatul Firdaus and asked for divine strength for her family and the entire university community to bear the irreparable loss.

Professor Yakasai expressed the University’s appreciation for the Local Government's solidarity during this period of mourning, noting that such visits reinforce the strong bond between the institution and its host community.
