LASU to Host Sixth Model United Nations Simulation Summit
The Department of History and International Studies at Lagos State University (LASU) will host the sixth edition of the LASU Model United Nations (LASU-MUN) 2026 Simulation Summit on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The Department of History and International Studies at Lagos State University (LASU) will host the sixth edition of the LASU Model United Nations (LASU-MUN) 2026 Simulation Summit on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The summit, themed "Be the Light, Lead the World," is designed to bring together young diplomatic minds to debate, negotiate and proffer solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing the global community.
The event is scheduled to hold at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
According to the organisers, this year's theme is a call for students to assume the roles of global leaders and delegates representing diverse nations, ranging from world superpowers to emerging economies, in pursuit of cooperation, peace and sustainable development.

Participants will represent the following countries:
- United States of America (USA)
- China
- Russia
- Iran
- Ukraine
- South Africa
- Nigeria
- Israel
- United Kingdom (UK)
- South Korea
The summit will feature intensive debates, resolution drafting and strategic consensus-building exercises aimed at providing delegates with practical experience in international relations, diplomacy, public speaking and crisis management.
The organisers said participants will benefit from:
