LASU Vice-Chancellor Urges Christian Faithful to Embrace the Lenten Season

In her message, the Vice-Chancellor described Lent as a sacred period for spiritual renewal, self-reflection, and realignment with God’s will. She encouraged the faithful to engage in prayer, fasting, and self-denial while examining the authenticity of their service to others, the University, and the broader community.
Professor Olatunji-Bello emphasized that Lent is an opportunity to embody intellectual excellence alongside compassion, humility, and care in daily interactions. She urged students and staff to strengthen bonds of unity, promote kindness, foster inclusivity, and uphold the dignity of every individual within the LASU community.
She concluded by wishing everyone a spiritually enriching, transformative, and purposeful Lenten journey.
