MAU Bursary Celebrates Chief Investment Officer After 35 Years of Meritorious Service

The Bursary Department of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has held a send-off ceremony in honour of Mrs. Sandrele Cabiles Onoh, Chief Investment Officer of the University, in recognition of her 35 years of dedicated service.

Mrs. Onoh, a Philippine national married to a Nigerian, joined the University on March 1, 1991, as an Assistant Investment Officer and rose through the ranks to become Chief Investment Officer. Throughout her career, she made significant contributions to the growth and transformation of the Bursary Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Umar, described Mrs. Onoh as an honest, thorough and meticulous officer whose commitment left a lasting impact on the institution. He commended her role in transforming the Bursary Department from analogue operations to a modern, digitally driven system and appreciated her sacrifices and wealth of institutional knowledge.

The Bursar, Mr. Haniel Ayuka, also lauded her dedication and valuable contributions to the department, while the Registrar and senior members of the Bursary extolled her friendly disposition, approachability and unwavering commitment to duty.

The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, principal officers, and staff of the Bursary Department, who gathered to celebrate and appreciate Mrs. Onoh for a career spanning over three and a half decades of continuous service to the University.
