MAUTECH SUG Issues Warning Over Hostel Reservation Transactions

The Student Union Government (SUG) of Modibbo Adama University, Yola (MAU) has cautioned students against engaging in any hostel reservation activities following a temporary system glitch on the university’s hostel portal.

In a notice dated 12th February 2026, the SUG clarified that the recent brief accessibility of the hostel portal was due to a system error and not an official opening. The legitimate opening of the portal will be formally announced by the university management.

The union also reminded students that buying or selling hostel spaces is strictly prohibited. Any student found participating in such unauthorized transactions, either as buyer or seller, will face disciplinary action from the university authorities.

Students have been urged to exercise patience and wait for the official communication from the management before attempting any hostel reservations.
