McPherson University Appoints Dr. Falade Adesola as Acting Dean of College of Computing

McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has appointed Dr. Falade Adesola as the Acting Dean of its College of Computing.
The university said the appointment reflects its commitment to academic excellence, innovation and visionary leadership, describing Dr. Falade as a distinguished computer scientist, software engineer and academic leader with over 25 years of experience in higher education, software development, systems analysis, ICT consulting and Artificial Intelligence (AI) research.
Dr. Falade holds Bachelor of Science (Honours), Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computer Science. His research areas include Software Engineering, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics and Violent Crime Prediction. He also possesses IBM professional certifications in Mobile Application Development, Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
Before his appointment, Dr. Falade served in several academic and administrative leadership positions, including Programming School Coordinator at Covenant University and Acting Head of Department at Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos.
According to the university, he has made significant contributions to curriculum development, academic administration, postgraduate supervision, research mentorship and the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in:
- Software Engineering
- Programming
- Database Systems
- Computer Networking
- Distributed Systems
- Advanced Internet Technologies
Beyond academia, the university noted that Dr. Falade has built an extensive career in the ICT industry, with expertise in:
- Software development
- Systems analysis
- Web application development
- Data analytics

He has also led the design and implementation of several enterprise technology solutions, including:
- Enterprise software solutions
- Student management systems
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
- E-government solutions
- Institutional web applications
The institution further disclosed that Dr. Falade has authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications, with over 25 indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
He is a registered member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a technical reviewer and an experienced postgraduate supervisor.
