Nasarawa State University Hosts Christmas Carol as VC Advocates Unity and Tolerance

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, has called for unity and tolerance among members of the university community, particularly adherents of Christianity and Islam.  

Professor Sa'adatu, a distinguished scholar in Islamic Jurisprudence, made the appeal during the Christmas Carol and Annual Thanksgiving Service organized by the Christian Community on Campus (CCC). The event, themed "Thanksgiving: My Seal for Celebrations" (Luke 17:19), was held on December 7, 2024, at the Chapel of Salvation, NSUK.  

In her address, the Vice-Chancellor urged attendees to reflect on their actions over the past year and strive to become better citizens. She emphasized the importance of fostering unity, tolerance, peace, respect, and patience within the university community, noting that these virtues are essential for the institution’s growth and development.

The service also featured prayers for the university, led by Pastor Naphtali Enwongolu and Pastor Thomas Akwaden.  

Professor Sa'adatu was accompanied by key university officials, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, and members of her administrative team.
