New Leadership Era Begins as Dr. Ogungboyega and Team Assume Office at Iwo City College of Education

The Iwo City College of Education witnessed a landmark transition as a new Management Team officially assumed office at the main campus. The handing‑over ceremony was attended by members of the Governing Council, outgoing officers, staff, and dignitaries.

The new Team are Dr. Suliyat Ajoke Ogungboyega, Provost; Hajia Medinat Lawal‑Sanni, Registrar; Mr. Irorunola Olasupo, Bursar; and Mrs. Iwa Ibiora Nora, Acting Librarian.  

The event was presided over by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Olatunde Adenuga, who praised the dedication of the outgoing management and charged the incoming team to uphold the College’s values of excellence and integrity. Council member Hon. Famurewa also expressed confidence in the new leadership’s ability to drive progress.

In attendance were the outgoing officers; Prof. Rafiu Ibrahim Adebayo (Provost), Alhaji Mugisu Aderibigbe Yusuff (Registrar), and Dr. (Mrs.) Deborah Funmi Iyanda (College Librarian) along with other important dignitaries. The ceremony was marked by symbolic handover of responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and orderly transition.  

The College community welcomed the new era of leadership with optimism, as Dr. Ogungboyega and her team begin their tenure with the mandate to consolidate achievements and chart fresh paths for institutional growth.
