The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LASACO Assurance Plc, Mr Ademoye Shobo, led a five-member management delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on Wednesday, 25th February 2026.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LASACO Assurance Plc, Mr Ademoye Shobo, led a five-member management delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on Wednesday, 25th February 2026.

The meeting took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room, 6th Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

The visit, described as strategic and forward-looking, aimed to strengthen the longstanding relationship between LASACO and LASU while exploring new areas for collaboration. It also gave the newly appointed MD/CEO, an alumnus of LASU, the opportunity to formally introduce himself to the University leadership and reaffirm the company’s commitment to service excellence.

Discussions focused on existing insurance arrangements, risk management support, and ways to deepen the institutional partnership. Mr Shobo reiterated LASACO’s dedication to delivering innovative and tailored insurance solutions to meet the evolving needs of tertiary institutions, including LASU.

The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the delegation and congratulated Mr Shobo on his appointment, expressing pride in his status as an alumnus. She commended LASACO for its professionalism and sustained support, emphasizing the importance of strong corporate partnerships in advancing the University’s strategic objectives and operational resilience.

Represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, the University reaffirmed the cordial relationship with LASACO. The Vice-Chancellor encouraged the company to expand its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including sponsoring conferences in the Department of Insurance and instituting student endowment programmes. She also welcomed Mr Shobo’s proposal to extend services to staff unions and urged similar support for the University’s cooperatives.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Toyin Enikuomehin, congratulated Mr Shobo, highlighting the critical role of insurance in institutional administration. He encouraged the delegation to consider the Vice-Chancellor’s recommendations and expressed the University’s readiness to collaborate on shared goals.

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr Samuel Asesanya, Deputy Registrar, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), on behalf of the Registrar, Mr Emmanuel Fanu.
