NSUK Mourns as Former Sociology Student and Serving Corps Member Slumps, Dies on Football Pitch

The Nasarawa State University, Keffi - Nsuk - community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of a former student of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Lucky - popularly known as Malouda.

He reportedly slumped and died on Thursday evening, March 19, 2026, during a football training session at the play pitch, despite efforts to revive him.

Lucky, widely is remembered for his strong defensive skills and leadership on the field during his university days, was, until his death, serving as a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

His untimely passing has left colleagues, friends, and the academic community in deep shock and mourning.
