NUC Accreditation Panel Visits University of Maiduguri

The University of Maiduguri has welcomed a National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation panel, led by Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai, to evaluate newly established programmes.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele urged the panel to conduct a thorough assessment, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and providing recommendations to meet NUC standards. The programmes up for accreditation include postgraduate programmes in Marketing, Banking and Finance, and Business Administration, as well as undergraduate programmes in Social Work and Pharmacy.

Professor Mele emphasized cooperation from university staff, ensuring a smooth exercise. The NUC team aims to ensure alignment with quality assurance standards, reporting findings to the NUC.
