Ogun State Institute of Technology Celebrates 20 Years of Academic Excellence

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of academic excellence, technological innovation and human capital development.

The institution, formerly known as Gateway Polytechnic, Igbesa, said the milestone reflects its sustained commitment to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial capacity needed to contribute to national development.

Founded on Thursday, June 29, 2006, OGITECH has grown from a modest institution in Ogun West Senatorial District into one of Nigeria's leading technology-focused tertiary institutions, producing professionals, entrepreneurs, engineers and other industry leaders.

Often described as the "Silicon Valley of Nigeria," the institute said it remains dedicated to raising future leaders, shaping destinies and developing practical skills that prepare students for the demands of the modern economy.

The institution also acknowledged the contributions of its founding fathers, whose vision laid the foundation for its growth, as well as the commitment and dedication of members of staff who have continued to drive its progress over the past two decades.

Reaffirming its mission, OGITECH said it remains committed to building technologically driven and innovative youths with strong problem-solving abilities capable of transforming the nation's future.

The institution also reiterated its guiding philosophy: "Technology-Driven with Sustainability."
