PAAU Law Graduate Earns First Class at Nigerian Law School, Set for Call to Bar

Prince Abubakar Audu University, PAAU, Anyigba, has recorded another academic milestone as one of its Law graduates, Miss John Progress Chubiyojo, earned a First Class in the recently concluded Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School.  

Miss Chubiyojo graduated as the 3rd Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Law in the 2023/2024 Academic Session. She obtained her Bachelor of Law, LL.B, degree from PAAU before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, where she distinguished herself with a First Class performance.  

She will be formally called to the Nigerian Bar on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Body of Benchers Complex, Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja.  

Reacting to the achievement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the First Class performance as a proud moment for the University and a clear demonstration of the culture of excellence that PAAU continues to promote.  

Prof. Usman congratulated Miss Chubiyojo on the exceptional accomplishment, noting that her success was a product of hard work, discipline, resilience, and commitment to academic excellence.  

The Vice-Chancellor commended the Dean, Heads of Department, and Lecturers in the Faculty of Law for their dedication to academic excellence, and urged them to sustain the tempo.  

He stated that the achievement reinforces Management’s commitment to creating an enabling environment that supports academic excellence, professional development, and the realisation of students’ aspirations.  

Prof. Usman reaffirmed Management’s commitment to recognising and celebrating outstanding achievements by students and alumni whose accomplishments continue to enhance the University’s image and strengthen its reputation for academic excellence.
