Provost, College Management Pay Thank-You Visit to Gombe Emir for Support and Honour

The Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, Dr. Mohammed Gazali Abdulhamid, led members of the College Management on a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Emir of Gombe, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III (CFR), to express the institution's profound appreciation for the Emir's support and participation in the Special Badminton Competition organised in his honour.

The competition, which was held on 5th and 6th June, 2026, was organised by the Gombe Badminton Club to celebrate Dr. Abdulhamid's appointment as the Provost of the College. His Royal Highness graced the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, a gesture the College described as a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to the promotion of education, youth development, and sporting excellence in Gombe State.

Speaking during the courtesy visit, Dr. Mohammed Gazali Abdulhamid thanked the Emir for finding time to attend the event despite his demanding schedule. He noted that the Emir's presence added prestige and significance to the competition and inspired both participants and members of the College community.

The Provost also expressed appreciation to the Royal Father for his continued fatherly guidance, encouragement, and support for the growth and development of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe.

It would be recalled that, during the badminton competition, the Emir took the opportunity to inspect several facilities within the College. Following the inspection, His Royal Highness expressed satisfaction with the level of infrastructural development and ongoing transformation across the institution.

The Emir commended the College Management for its visionary leadership and the remarkable strides being recorded in improving academic and physical infrastructure.
