Quality Assurance Committee Conducts Monitoring Visit to School of Technology

The Quality Assurance Committee of Kano State Polytechnic, led by its Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Usman Aikawa, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, conducted a quality assurance monitoring visit to the School of Technology.

The visit, carried out on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Faruk, and the management of the Polytechnic, was aimed at assessing compliance with academic standards, due process and quality service delivery.

Addressing the management, heads of departments and staff of the School, Dr. Aikawa explained that the exercise was not intended to witch-hunt or embarrass any department, but to observe, assess, advise and support the School in improving academic and operational standards in line with NBTE Minimum Standards and the Polytechnic's Academic Policy.

The committee's areas of focus included staff and students' attendance, curricula and course documentation, the state of workshops and laboratories, students' practical work and continuous assessment records, carrying capacity and staff-student ratios, as well as cleanliness, safety and the general learning environment.
