"Relationship is a Critical Resource," Says Outgoing FULafia VC, Prof. Abdul Rahman
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has described relationship as a critical resource for effective leadership and institutional development.
He stated this while being hosted to a tenure-completion luncheon by the Faculty of Agriculture of the University.
According to him, when properly understood and deployed, relationships drive progress, sustainability and meaningful outcomes.
He explained that harnessing relationships requires deliberate collaboration, capacity readiness and unwavering dedication, particularly within the university system.
Abdul Rahman noted that beyond policies and structures, "it is people and the quality of their engagement that ultimately shape institutions and leave lasting legacies."
Earlier, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Folorunsho Ajayi, described the vice-chancellor as a worthy ambassador of the faculty, noting that his tenure has reflected the faculty's intellectual depth and administrative excellence.
The event was attended by principal officers of the University, while a renowned legal practitioner, Mathew Burkah, SAN, was honoured as a special guest of honour.
