Sa'adu Zungur University Donates Office Furniture to Gadau Divisional Police Headquarters
Sa'adu Zungur University has donated office furniture to the newly established Divisional Police Headquarters in Gadau as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with security agencies and ensure a safe learning environment.
The donated items include one executive office table and chair, two semi-executive office table and chair sets, and six visitors’ chairs to support the operations of the Division.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fatimah Tahir, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Aminu Umar Kura, described the gesture as part of the University’s corporate social responsibility and a demonstration of its commitment to sustaining cordial relations with the Nigeria Police Force.
He noted that security is indispensable to peaceful coexistence between the University and its host communities, adding that the donation was aimed at strengthening the existing partnership in safeguarding lives and property.
Professor Kura also appealed to the Police to sustain their support, particularly in securing students residing off-campus and addressing criminal activities around the University environment.
Receiving the furniture, the Divisional Police Officer, SP Bala Babayo, expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and Management of Sa'adu Zungur University, describing the intervention as timely.
He said the furniture would provide a more conducive working environment for officers and improve service delivery at the Division.
The DPO assured the University community of the Command’s continued commitment to strengthening security in Gadau and environs, with special focus on protecting students who constitute a significant proportion of the population. He also pledged sustained cooperation with the University to ensure a peaceful environment for teaching, learning, and community development.
The University delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), the Registrar, the Acting Bursar, the University Librarian, and the Director of Works.
