Taraba SSG Invites Protesting Nursing Students' Leadership to Government House

The Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief GT Kataps, has invited the leadership of the Students' Union Government, SUG, of the Taraba State College of Nursing Sciences and the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Taraba State Chapter, to a meeting today by 3:00 p.m. at the Government House.

The invitation follows the ongoing protest by students of the college over hostel accommodation and other welfare issues.

The protesting students, while appreciating the SSG for intervening in the crisis, maintained that their demands remain two:

1. Immediate completion of the students' hostel and ensuring that students are moved in without further delay.

2. Immediate removal of Dorcas Dugule, whom they described as unfit to remain in office following the manner in which students have been treated.

According to the students, they have made their position clear and are now demanding action, not promises.
