UCH Appoints Dr. Olubukola Olumide as Acting Head of Pharmaceutical Services Department

The management of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, has appointed Dr. Olubukola Olatokunbo Olumide as Acting Head of the Pharmaceutical Services Department.

Dr. Olumide, Deputy Director, Pharmaceutical Services and Consultant Pharmacist Grade II, assumed the role with retrospective effect from August 30, 2026, following the mandatory retirement of Dr. Akinbami, former Deputy Director, Pharmaceutical Services and Acting Head of the Department, on August 29, 2026.

According to the appointment letter signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Oluseyi R. Eze, for the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Olumide is expected to ensure effective coordination of the tripartite functions of the department, which include training, research and services.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, congratulated Dr. Olumide on her appointment and wished her a successful tenure.

Dr. Olumide is expected to provide leadership for the department while ensuring continued delivery of quality pharmaceutical services in line with the hospital’s mandate as a foremost tertiary healthcare, training and research institution.
