Earlier, the Team Leader of the project, Professor Adam Lawan Ngala, said the visit was to brief the Vice-Chancellor on the progress of the research, which is being implemented with support from a sponsored grant.

Professor Ngala explained that the project primarily seeks to assess the sustainability and impact of the support provided to farmers who benefited from the grant, with particular attention to their field activities, experiences and overall progress.

He added that two assistant researchers have already been deployed to the field to visit participating farms, collect relevant data, monitor activities and provide regular updates that will contribute to the comprehensive assessment of the project.
