University of Maiduguri Debating Team Emerges Winner of NOA National Campus Debate
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) debating team has won the 2025 National Campus Debate organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA). Mbaya Yusuf Yakubu and Joy David Alewa, both 500-level students of Private Law, represented UNIMAID in the competition held on September 25, 2025, at the Federal Secretariat in Gombe State.
The winning team will now represent Borno State at the regional level, showcasing their exceptional debating skills and critical thinking.
University Registrar Mal. Ahmad Alhaji Lawan attributed the victory to the students' outstanding debating skills, critical thinking, and commitment to academic excellence.
