12 Public Health Academic Staff Inducted by EHCON at Al-Istiqama University

Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, AUSU, has recorded a major academic achievement with the induction of twelve academic staff members from its Department of Public Health into the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, EHCON.

The induction took place on Tuesday, 15th September, 2026, when twelve academic staff members were officially inducted into the Council.

The oath of practice was administered by the Registrar/CEO of the Council, Dr. Baba Yakubu Muhammad, formally admitting the staff into the profession.

According to the University, the induction signifies full professional accreditation for the staff, who are now fully registered and licensed to practice as public health specialists in Nigeria.

The University noted that the development will ensure unmatched academic quality, as students will continue to be taught and mentored by recognized, licensed professionals who meet national standards.

It further described the induction as a demonstration of its commitment to excellence and to providing world-class tertiary education backed by professional certifications.
