ABU Emerges Top Performer in JAMB National Admissions Awards

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has been recognized as the overall best-performing institution in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's (JAMB) 5th National Tertiary Admissions Performance- Merit Awards (NATAP-M).

The university won N500 million for its outstanding performance, scoring 14 points across five assessment categories.

The award was presented to ABU's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adamu Ahmed, by the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Ahmed, at a ceremony in Abuja. The JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, noted that the awards aim to promote national representation, gender balance, transparency, and global competitiveness in tertiary education.

Professor Ahmed expressed gratitude to JAMB, the university's Senate, Governing Council, and alumni, pledging to continue striving for excellence and advancing Nigerian universities' global rankings.
