ABU Holds Maiden International Conference on Statistical Sciences and Data Analytics

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has called for the Federal Government's intervention in financing conferences organized by public universities in Nigeria.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, emphasized the need for government support to sustain conferences that promote innovative ideas and knowledge sharing.

The university recently hosted its maiden international conference on "Statistical Sciences and Data Analytics" (ICSSDA 2025). The conference brought together experts to discuss groundbreaking innovations and solutions to pressing global problems.

Keynote speakers presented papers on topics such as the prospects and applications of statistics in governance, tackling refusal bias in prevalence estimates, and harnessing statistics and machine learning for better health outcomes.

The conference highlighted the importance of statistics and data analytics in addressing global challenges and promoting development. The Vice-Chancellor's call for government intervention underscores the need for support to sustain such initiatives.
