ADUN Ranks Among Best Universities in Nigeria - Okonjo
The traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, Obi Ifechukwude Okonjo II, has described Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) as one of Nigeria's best universities.
He made the remark when the management of the institution, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Christopher Ogbogbo, visited his palace.
The visit was to celebrate the 2026 New Yam Festival with the monarch in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Obi Okonjo commended the university management for the massive development currently taking place at the institution.
He described Professor Ogbogbo as an agent of development who had brought his wealth of experience to bear on the university's growth.
The monarch noted that ADUN was performing remarkably well in various areas and assured the institution of continued support from the palace.
There is no doubt that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ogbogbo, will take the institution to greater heights, he said.

Earlier, Professor Ogbogbo said the management team visited the palace to celebrate the New Yam Festival with the monarch.
He said the visit also provided an opportunity to formally introduce the new management team to the traditional ruler.
The Vice Chancellor said that, in line with the university's vision, management had established the Centre for Anioma Studies.
He said Ogwashi-Uku would play a central role in the activities of the centre.
According to him, the centre is designed to promote research, documentation and preservation of the history, culture and traditions of the Anioma people.
Ogbogbo urged the people of the area to take advantage of the centre's activities to promote knowledge, development and cultural preservation.
He said ADUN management was committed to partnering with the monarch in advancing development within Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom.
The Vice Chancellor added that the monarch's development efforts had not gone unnoticed by the university community.
Ogbogbo described the New Yam Festival as a period for peace, unity, development and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest.
He urged the people of Ogwashi-Uku to continue living in peace and unity to facilitate sustainable development in the kingdom.
Those present at the palace included the Palace Chief of Staff, Prince Onyema Okonjo, and other palace chiefs.
