ADUSTECH Mourns Former SUG Vice President Juwairriya Chindo Amid Unverified Medical Speculations

Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, ADUSTECH Wudil, has announced the death of Comr. Juwairriya Abdullahi Chindo, former Vice President of the Students’ Union Government.

The university confirmed her passing on Wednesday, 14 May 2026, in a statement signed by Sen. Sani Mahamoud Tajo Gaya on behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai. The statement described her as a dedicated student leader and extended condolences to her family.

Chindo served during the 2024/2025 Sen. Jawad-led SUG administration. The university said her contributions to student welfare would be remembered.

Social media posts have since circulated alleging that Chindo died after a surgeon allegedly left a towel inside her body during an operation. The university’s official statement did not state a cause of death, and there has been no public confirmation of these allegations from the hospital, police, or the family.
