Ahmadu Bello University Gives NAPRI Six Months to Improve

The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Prof. Adamu Ahmed, has given the National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) six months to demonstrate measurable improvement in performance, productivity, and institutional reputation.

The ultimatum follows NAPRI's poor performance in research output, innovation, and national relevance. A seven-member committee has been inaugurated to strategically reform NAPRI and chart a pathway to recovery and excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor warned that NAPRI must rise to reclaim its place as a national leader in livestock research and innovation or risk being restructured entirely.
