The Acting Provost of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, AKCILS, Dr. Ali Tamasi Mu’az, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to academic excellence, announcing his resolve to personally sustain his lecture hours for all courses assigned to him, including those under the Arabic Medium Programme.

Dr. Mu’az made this known on Thursday during the Walima ceremony organized in honour of graduating students of the Arabic Medium Department of the College.

The Acting Provost described teaching and learning as the bedrock of the College’s mandate, and stressed that upholding academic standards remains the central thrust of his administration.

“In demonstration of my commitment to academic excellence, I will continue to personally deliver lectures for all courses assigned to me, including those offered under the Arabic Medium Programme,” Dr. Mu’az affirmed.

He assured the Department of the College’s continuous support for programmes and initiatives designed to enhance the quality of instruction and learning outcomes.

Addressing the graduands, Dr. Mu’az urged them to deploy the knowledge, skills, and ethical values acquired during their training for the benefit of their families, communities, and the nation.

“Today’s graduation does not signify the end of your academic journey. Rather, it marks the commencement of a new phase in which you are expected to translate your learning into meaningful contributions to society,” he admonished.

In her goodwill message, the College Registrar, Hajiya Raliya Aliyu Abubakar, congratulated the graduating students on their successful completion of the programme. She encouraged them to pursue advanced studies, noting that higher qualifications would broaden their career prospects and enhance their contributions to national development.

In his vote of thanks, the Head of the Arabic Medium Department, Dr. Mahmud Musa Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the Acting Provost, College Management, academic and non-academic staff, parents, and other stakeholders for their immense support toward the success of the programme and the graduation ceremony.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of awards of recognition and excellence to the Acting Provost and other principal officers of the College in appreciation of their support for the Arabic Medium Programme.

The ceremony was attended by members of the College community, graduating students, parents, guardians, and other distinguished guests.
