Aksum University Hosts Specialized Training to Help Graduating Class Combat Exit Exam Anxiety
Aksum University has conducted a specialized training session titled "Managing Exam Anxiety and Building Self-Confidence for the Exit Exam" to prepare its upcoming graduating class for the mandatory national exit examinations.
The capacity-building program was held at the university's main campus on Friday, June 5, 2026 (Ginbot 28, 2018 E.C.).
The initiative was jointly coordinated by the Psychology Team under the Office of the Dean of Student Services and the Gender and Special Needs Office of the Aksum Institute of Technology.

Stress Management as a Catalyst for PerformanceDelivering the opening address, the Scientific Director of the Aksum Institute of Technology—holding the rank of Vice President—Dr. Mohammed Ahmed, outlined the institutional objectives of the seminar.
He emphasized that the training was tailored to equip students with practical psychological coping mechanisms to mitigate stress and boost academic self-efficacy ahead of the high-stakes national assessments.Dr. Mohammed noted that while exam anxiety is a natural response, it can be effectively repurposed into positive motivation if students are armed with the right stress-management skills and thorough academic preparation.
