Akwa Ibom State University Students Benefit from JEMITIM Foundation Scholarship

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has once again been selected as a beneficiary of the JEMITIM Foundation Scholarship, as the Foundation awarded the second edition of the 2024/2025 cycle scholarship and digital skills sponsorship to students.

The Founder of Jemitim Foundation, Prof. (Mrs.) Jemimah T. Ekanem, presented the awards in continuation of the initiative that began in 2024 to support academic excellence and youth empowerment.

In his goodwill message, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of AKSU, Prof. Otoabasi E. Akpan, represented by the Head of Obio Akpa Campus and Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Nkanikpo I. Ibok, commended Prof. Ekanem and the Board of Jemitim Foundation for sustaining the scholarship scheme. He noted that the programme has further encouraged students to excel academically and prepare for life beyond the classroom.

Prof. Ibok stressed that the University remains grateful for the Foundation’s continued investment in the education and digital development of AKSU students, describing it as a legacy that will inspire other philanthropists to follow suit.
