Al-Ansar University Maiduguri Vice Chancellor Pays Courtesy Visit to UMTH CMD, Sets Stage for Collaboration in Medicine and Health Sciences

The Acting Vice Chancellor of Al-Ansar University Maiduguri, Prof. Fanna Inna Abdulrahman, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Prof. Ahmed Ahidjo, accompanied by members of her management team.

The visit opened discussions toward a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in areas of medicine, health sciences, training, and research development.

Prof. Ahidjo commended the visionary leadership of the Founder of Al-Ansar University, Dr. M.K Dikwa, mni, recognizing his immense contributions to UMTH during his time as Permanent Secretary, Special Duties at the Federal Ministry of Finance, and later through the Al-Ansar Foundation, especially during the flood disaster interventions.

In her remarks, Prof. Fanna praised the exceptional leadership and transformation efforts of the CMD in advancing healthcare services and medical training at UMTH, describing him as a pillar of institutional excellence and innovation.

Prof. Ahidjo, in turn, assured the Vice Chancellor of UMTH’s full support in terms of teaching, training, access to facilities, and provision of qualified manpower to support AUM’s medical and health sciences programs.

The visit marks the beginning of a promising institutional relationship that will enhance healthcare education and service delivery.
