Rivers State University Pro-Chancellor Urges Student Leaders to Embrace Unionism

The Pro-Chancellor of Rivers State University (RSU), Hon. Okey Wali, SAN, has called on student leaders to view unionism as a valuable training ground for leadership, responsibility, and service.

During a meeting with the leadership of the Postgraduate Students Association (PGSA) and Student Union Government (SUG) on September 26, 2025, Hon. Wali commended the university management and student unions for maintaining peace and constructive engagement.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, appreciated the students for their peaceful conduct and acknowledged their contributions to the university's progress, including legacy projects championed by the student bodies.
