Al-Istiqama University Condoles with Kano State Over Tragic Loss

Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Kano State Government, the Kano State Sports Commission, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development following a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of 22 members of the Kano State contingent.

The victims were returning from the Gateway 2024 National Sports Festival held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The university community expressed deep sorrow over the devastating loss, which has affected not only the Kano State and Nigerian sports communities but also the families and loved ones of the victims. The university prayed for the forgiveness of the departed souls and wished those who sustained injuries a swift and complete recovery.

The university's leadership, including the Governing Council, Senate, Management, and the entire university community, stood in solidarity with the bereaved families and the Kano State Government during this difficult time. May Allah grant the departed souls a place in Aljannatul Firdaus and provide their families with strength and patience.
